Common questions
Why does the alarm come back after I tap Stop?
That's the point of the app. iOS always shows a Stop control on alarms, so Up Already treats Stop as a one-minute pause. The alarm keeps coming back until you scan one of your wake-up items, or until the "Keep ringing for" time you chose runs out.
How do I make sure it's loud enough?
Alarms use your iPhone's alarm volume, not media volume. Check it in Settings › Sounds & Haptics. Then open an alarm in Up Already and tap Test This Alarm to hear it.
Does it ring in Silent mode or with a Focus on?
Yes. Up Already uses Apple's alarm system, so alarms ring in Silent mode and during Focus, as long as you allowed alarms when the app asked.
My barcode won't scan.
- Turn on a light and hold the phone 10–20 cm (4–8 inches) from the barcode.
- Register a second item in another room so you have a backup.
- If you're truly stuck, the Emergency Exit link on the wake-up screen turns the alarm off after a short wait.
What should I use as a wake-up item?
Anything with a barcode that stays outside your bedroom, like toothpaste in the bathroom or a coffee bag in the kitchen. Register a few in different rooms; each morning, one is picked at random. Don't keep a spare by your bed.
Will it ring if my phone is off or the battery is dead?
No. Like every iPhone alarm, Up Already can't ring when the phone is powered off. Keep your phone charged overnight.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your alarms and wake-up items are stored only on your iPhone, so deleting the app deletes them.
